ZTE Axon Mini with Force Touch Goes on Sale for $360

ZTE officially unveiled the Axon Mini back in July, but did not shared details on when the smartphone will be available for purchase.

The Axon Mini is a very important device for ZTE since it was the first smartphone announced to feature Force Touch technology.

In the meantime, Force Touch made its way onto the market via Apple's latest iPhone devices, but Android fans will be able to take advantage of this technology by purchasing the ZTE Axon Mini.

The Chinese company has already confirmed the Axon Mini is now available for purchase in China via ZTE's own MyZTE store and JD.com, as well as offline from major retail outlets.

Customers can buy the ZTE Axon Mini for CNY 2,299 (Ion Gold and Chromium Silver), which is about $360 or €320. The Rose Gold version of the smartphone costs CNY 2,399 ($375 / €330) outright.

ZTE also launched a Premium Edition of the Axon Mini, which is available for purchase for CNY 2,699 ($425 / €375) off contract.

Although the smartphone is only available in China for the moment, ZTE confirmed that in the coming months the Axon Mini will be made available in Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Russia, Japan, India, Australia, France, Germany, Turkey, Spain and Italy.
It should be available worldwide by the end of the year

The Axon Mini will be priced differently in these countries though. For example, the standard version will be available in Asia-Pacific countries for $380 outright, while in Europe will cost €330.

It's also worth mentioning the Gold Rose variant will be $20 and €20, respectively, more expensive than the Ion Gold and Chromium Silver variants.

On the other hand, Axon Mini Premium Edition has been priced in Asia-Pacific at $440, while in Europe the smartphone will cost €390.

Aside from the fact that it comes with Force Touch technology, the Axon Mini will be powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor, an Adreno 405 graphics processing unit and 3GB of RAM.

The smartphone will pack 32GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

ZTE also mentions that the Axon Mini supports three different biometric authentication options: fingerprint, voice control and eye-scan.

Last but not least, the Axon Mini sports a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution, and packs a 13-megapixel camera with phase detection autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording.
