Star Wars: Battlefront Beta Extended Until October 13

Video game developer DICE and publisher Electronic Arts are announcing that they are extending the beta period for Star Wars: Battlefront by one day, meaning that gamers who are currently engaged will be able to continue playing until October 13.

In an official forum post, the companies explain that more technical tests are being conducted on the infrastructure, which were not active for the first few days of the testing period.

DICE adds, "These tests are to help us find some extreme scenarios, and that means some players may experience occasional issues such as being kicked from the game or losing connectivity. This is all being done in the name of shoring up our infrastructure before we launch on November 17th."

So the good news is that players get to experience the three modes and the three maps featured in the beta for Star Wars: Battlefront for one more day and the bad news is that some of them might have problems with the experience for the 24 hour period.

DICE is also encouraging all those currently playing to continue to offer feedback in order to make sure that the game offers the best quality possible when the 1.0 version is out.
Star Wars: Battlefront delivers a multiplayer-focused shooter

The title will be focused on the original movie trilogy, allowing gamers to take part in all the battles that are shown or mentioned.

DICE says that it wants to make Star Wars: Battlefront simple enough that casual players can enjoy it while also offering the depth required to keep fans engaged in the long-term.

There's no single player included in the shooter and gamers will be able to choose from a variety of modes, including some focused on aerial battles and a cooperative one.

The game will include a Hero mode that allows players to become well-known characters like Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader.

Star Wars: Battlefront will be out on November 17 on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.

Gamers who place a pre-order will be able to get the Battle of Jakku downloadable content, which is linked to The Force Awakens, on December 1 while the rest of the community will wait for the new experience for one more week.
