Samsung Galaxy J5 Goes on Sale in Europe for €235

Samsung officially introduced the Galaxy J5 back in June, but the smartphone was only available in China. The good news is beginning today, the devices can be purchased in Europe as well.

The Galaxy J5 is a mid-range Android smartphone that is now available in Germany for only €235 outright, a new report claims. The handset is available in three color versions: Black, Gold and White.

Samsung Galaxy J5 can be had from Orange Germany, but also via Samsung's online store in the country. Germany seems to be the first European country to get the smartphone, but we expect Samsung to introduce the Galaxy J5 in other countries in the region in the coming days.

When it comes to specs, the Galaxy J5 offers decent features, so the price might be justified. First of all, the smartphone ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, along with TouchWiz UI on top.
A Super AMOLED display and 13MP camera are the phone's main selling points

On the inside, the smartphone is equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, an Adreno 306 graphics processing unit and 1.5GB of RAM.

The Galaxy J5 packs only 8GB of internal memory, but users can further expand storage up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

On the back, Samsung Galaxy J5 features a 13-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 5-megapixel selfie camera with LED flash.

Connectivity-wise, Samsung's mid-range Android smartphone offers a wide range of options, including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, microUSB 2.0, GPS with AGPS and Bluetooth 4.1.

The smartphone is powered by a removable 2,600 mAh battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer and sports a 5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and features 294ppi (pixel per inch) density.
