It looks like the Chinese company OnePlus plans to unveil more than one device on July 27. Even though OnePlus confirmed it would officially introduce its “flagship killer,” the OnePlus 2, we now have information that points to additional devices that might be announced during the same event.
According to a new report, there will be two OnePlus 2 versions announced this week, but also a tablet that will be called OnePlus One Tab.
The cheaper OnePlus 2 smartphone will be called OnePlus One Lite and will feature a full HD (1080p) display, possibly 5.5-inch size, and 3GB of RAM.
On the other hand, the OnePlus 2 model number A2005 will come with a large Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display and no less than 4GB of RAM.
We don't have any information on pricing options, but according to OnePlus, the most expensive should not cost more than $450.
Along with the new details on OnePlus' new lineup of Android devices, the same source leaked the first mockups of the OnePlus 2 smartphone.
There are few design differences between OnePlus 2 and its predecessor
Judging from these images, the differences between OnePlus 2 and its predecessor seem to be minor. Of course, the most recent model comes with a physical button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner, but the rest of the design is very similar.
For those out of the loop, OnePlus 2 is expected to come with a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 5-megapixel camera in the front and 3,300 mAh battery.
The smartphone has been confirmed to be equipped with a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, an Adreno 430 graphics processing unit and 4GB of RAM.
We also know the OnePlus 2 should feature USB Type-C support and dual-SIM functionality, but the amount of storage inside hasn't been confirmed yet.
As for the OnePlus One Tab, there are no details whatsoever about the company's first tablet, so we must wait for the official announcement that's less than a day away.
In the same piece of news, a new report coming from China claims that the first sale for the OnePlus 2 is scheduled for August 8.
