How To Remove Smart Bulletin on the LG G4

Back on the LG G3 last year, LG debuted Smart Bulletin, which is kinda sorta like their response to HTC’s Blinkfeed. It doesn’t give you a newsfeed from your favorite sites or social networks, but does feed in some pretty important data. Like upcoming calendar events, as well as music that’s currently plying and much more. One of the best parts of Smart Bulletin is the Quick Remote section. Allowing you to easily control your TV from Smart Bulletin. While all this information is quite cool, and somewhat useful for some, not everyone wants to use it. Which is fine. As it can be turned off.

So how exactly do you turn it off? Well most would figure you can pinch in and move that homescreen to the trash. But it just pops back up. So what you need to do is head over to the Smart Bulletin home screen. Tap the settings icon in the top right-hand corner. From that screen you are able to go ahead and add and remove sections of Smart Bulletin, but if you look in the upper right-hand corner, you’ll see a toggle that can be switched to off. Just tap on that, and boom Smart Bulletin is now gone.

Now there’s also another way to remove it. Simply head into settings, tap on the “Display” tab, then tap on “Home Screen”. In the first section there, you will see “Smart Bulletin” Which will take you to the same page we were just on in the last paragraph. You can also turn it on or off without getting into that page. If you ever turn off Smart Bulletin and decide you want it back, this is how you’d re-enable it on the LG G4.

Yes, the LG G4 has some pretty nifty features, but not everyone is going to want to use them. So it’s great that LG allows users to turn off certain features, and turn them off rather easily. We’ll be doing more content on the LG G4, so make sure you stay tuned!
