How to Install Mac OS X 10.11 "El Capitan" Public Beta

After two Beta builds that only developers who have a paid account on the Apple Developer website had access to, Apple finally decided that it was time to release the first Beta build to the public.

The OS X 10.11 Public Beta was officially announced at the end of this week, and we thought it would be a good idea to write a piece of article with information about how to install it, just in case you are curious to get an early taste of what's coming in "El Capitan" in fall 2015.

It is of the essence to mention here that we're writing the following installation instructions for OS X 10.11 (El Capitan) Public Beta simply because it is not a regular update that you can get through the usual channels and install as an update to OS X 10.10 (Yosemite).

Just like older OS X releases, "El Capitan" is a total replacement for the previous version of Apple's outstanding computer operating system for Macintosh hardware. Therefore, you will have to get the full installer of OS X 10.11 when attempting to upgrade from OS X 10.10.
